Background
The region's RIS3 strategy highlights a number of fields of specialisation, one of which is healthy life and health industry. This Includes medical technology, pharmaceuticals, healthy ageing, nutrition industry, analytics, diagnostics and research on infections, biotechnology and biophotonics.
Other priorities are industrial production and systems; sustainable energy and resource use; sustainable and smart mobility and logistics; ICT and innovative services close to production, and wild cards which includes: adaptive signal analysis and neuroinformatics, textile technologies, fabLabs, internet of things and smart home.
