Background
Marche is one of twenty regions in Italy, located in the central area of the country. It has a population of 1.6 million. The region has four universities: Polytechnic University of the March, University of Urbino “Carlo Bo”, University of Macerata and University of Camerino. The regions' S3 priorities include smart homes for smart communities, new advanced industrial automation solutions for mechatronics, ambient assisted living and health industry and integrated and sustainable manufacturing.
